No doubt

The quote I decided to use is the last stanza on pg 36 (stanza # 40) of the fourth teaching. It is as follows: "An ignorant man is lost, faithless, and filled with self-doubt; a soul that harbors doubt has no joy, not in this world or the next."

I was able to use this quote during I conversation I was having with my best friend from back home, Zoe. She is a junior in high school and is encountering the beginning of a lot of life decisions, more specifically: she has to start looking at colleges and possible careers. She has want to be an English teacher all her life, but this year she isn't getting good grades in her English class and started to doubt herself and whether she would be a good English teacher. I was able to pull out the quote and reassure her (and also sound extremely intelligent). I told her to stop doubting herself, that college was there to teach her how to be a good English teacher. It's the reason we go to establishments for higher education. I told her that she would be miserable if all she ever did was doubt herself. I mean, if she didn't believe in herself, why should anyone else?
