Judgement:The Sign of a Fool and a Human
All of the teachings in the book of Matthew, chapters 5-7, the most important one is to not judge others. This teaching, however, is so often ignored by people even if they did not intend to. As people are walking down the street, each and every one of them is making judgments about the others, based on what they look like, what they are wearing, who they are with, and how they sound. Then the people all come of with judgments of what the person is like without even getting to know them. It is human nature and people cannot help it. This level of judgment, however, is mostly harmless. The kind of judgment that truly is wrong and sinful is generalizations. This is scene all over the world. Racism is an example of this judgment. When white people believed that blacks were inferior because of how they looked or when Hitler persecuted the Jews because of their heritage and beliefs, people all saw this kind of judgment and a lot of people did nothing about it or solved it through violence. It is happening today with the Islamic beliefs and the American people. All Muslims are not terrorists and most of them do not believe in the terrorist ways. The same thing is happening about homosexuality. They are not trying to convert people to be homosexuals. That concept is not even possible. If people could stop acting on their judgments, this world would be a much better place. Judgments cannot be stopped but perhaps people can be taught to ignore them.
