Lord in Vain

If you were to read the bible or any kind of writing, the word God is never in a lowercase form, it is always spelled with a capital G. Even if it simply He or His, it is still uppercase form. That is because the it is the third commandment to never take the lords name in vain. I believe the writers are doing this out of respect and do not want to sin to their God (even I just did it). I believe this is one of the most important commandments God gave to us. To me, it shows the respect we have for Him and the things He has done for us. That being said, I also believe it is the most neglected commandment he gave to us. I will be the first one to tell you I am also guilty of this but it is fairly common to hear someone out of frustration say, Jesus Christ! Or God! It truly takes someone who values the lord not to say that. When one is a young child, they know good and bad words. They eventually learn curse words and as they get older, are taught not to say them. I don’t know about anyone else, but if someone cursed in my house, they got yelled at and grounded. It was not necessarily the same case with saying the Lord’s name in vain. I would just get a simple look and that was it. I believe that not saying the Lords name in vain is one of the most important commandments because it is just the little things that show respect for Him, and that’s the least we could do.
